At the production of exterior cover panels and hoods for busses, bigger plastic parts are assembled by bonding and screwing. Currently all working steps is done manually.
This project aims for developing human- robot collaborative solution for assembly tasks, with specific consideration of (optimal) cost-benefit balance.

Impact (expected)
Human robot collaboration is a way to combine the cognitive skills of a human with the strength and repeatability of a robot. It can be an enabler to semi automate processes and support the worker in non ergonomic work steps. Unfortunately economic HRC use-cases are rare.
With the final documented HRC concept of this voucher (power point presentation, simulation, risk analysis and cost calculation) it should be shown that HRC for bonding plastic parts can be safe and cost benefited.
